CBC News has learned that Al Hawkins will soon announce he will seek the Liberal nomination for Grand Falls-Windsor-Green Bay South.

CBC News has learned Al Hawkins will soon announce he will seek the Liberal nomination for Grand Falls-Windsor-Green Bay South.
PC MHA Ray Hunter currently holds the seat, though he is expected to retire when the next election is called.
Hawkins has been the mayor of Grand Falls-Windsor since 2009.
He is a member of Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro's board of directors, and also sits on the board for the Bull Arm fabrication yard. He was appointed to those posts by the Tories in June 2012.
