Graham Veitch fit to stand trial on 1st-degree murder charge
Veitch, 19, charged with killing pharmacist David Collins in December
A teenager from Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove is fit to stand trial on charges of killing the man his mother lived with, a Newfoundland and Labrador court was told on Wednesday.
Graham Veitch, who turned 19 on Dec. 28, had undergone a two-week psychiatric examination following his arrest on first-degree murder charges.

—@glenn_payetteHe will be back in provincial court Jan. 30. Charges against Veitch also include assaulting his mother and brother with a hammer, assaulting a police officer, stealing a vehicle and evading police.
David Collins, 55, died in hospital after what police said was an attack at his home on 32 Cadigan's Rd. in Logy Bay on Dec. 18.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said Veitch was located about four hours after emergency responders arrived at the home, and that he rammed a marked police car on a chase through Portugal Cove-St. Philip's.
