A new brewery on the Bonavista Peninsula is turning to social media to make an interesting plea for customers to return any stolen beer glasses.

The Port Rexton Brewing Company posted on Facebook that visitors have been showing up to sample from its tap room, but are pocketing their branded sampler glasses on the way out.

The owners said they understand the samplers make great souvenirs, but they've had to cancel tastings because they're running so low on glasses that they've had to order more.

The brewery is asking sampler bandits to return any taken glasses, so everyone can take part in a tasting this holiday weekend.

The company posted on Instagram Monday that Quidi Vidi Brewery in St. John's came to its rescue and is shipping out a box of Quidi Vidi sampler glasses.

"This is why we love this industry," Port Rexton Brewing posted.
