Weather causes flight delays at St. John's International Airport

Several flights in and out of St. John's International Airport were delayed Thursday. 
    
Airport officials say poor weather on Wednesday was the culprit.
    
The changing precipitation and shifting winds affected flights Wednesday night and made runways slippery. 
    
Those delays prevented pilots from flying Thursday morning.
    
Flights in the afternoon and evening were returning to their normal schedules.
