The first poll since Kathy Dunderdale's resignation has been released. Does it offer hope to the governing Tories?

The Liberals sustain their lead, while the Progressive Conservatives show modest growth, and the NDP seems headed for collapse.

The poll finds the Liberals at 53% voter support, the PCs at 33%, and the NDP at 13%.

However, the approval rating for the government is up by 15%.

A political panel featuring Steve Dinn, John Hogan, and Lana Payne debate the meaning behind these numbers.

On Point also looks at the upcoming by-election in Virginia Waters, to fill the seat vacated by former premier Kathy Dunderdale.
