The Newfoundland and Labrador government has hired a consultant to review its policies surrounding harassment and safety within the workplace.

Rubin Thomlinson LLP will be conducting the external review of the current Harassment and Discrimination-Free Workplace Policy and Respectful Workplace Program by speaking with government employees.

Feedback from all employees will be used to shape the report, however participation is voluntary.

Clerk of the Executive Council, the Chair of the Public Service Commission and the Deputy Minister of the Human Resource Secretariat will sit on a steering committee, which will guide the review.

The findings and recommendations made by the consultant are expected to be handed to government by late October.
