Exit Realty on the Rock complaint under investigation, RNC confirms
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says it has received a complaint about Exit Realty on the Rock.
"The RNC has received a complaint and our economic crime unit is investigating," said police in a statement Friday.
The RNC said the complaint was received this week and cautioned "it is too early to call it a criminal investigation … not clear yet it will amount to formal investigation status."
Police won't say who filed the complaint.
RNC spokesperson cautions not to "call it a criminal investigation at this point" because complaint very new, investigation very new #cbcnl

The real estate company, which has 65 agents and operates in St. John's and Conception Bay South, had its licence suspended Thursday night.
Service NL said it cannot provide further comment because the matter is under investigation.
Pending sales will go through, with lawyers handling the transactions, but listings expired at midnight Thursday.
Erika Gileo, the chief operating officer for Exit Realty head office in Mississauga, Ont., said Friday she could not do an interview because of the ongoing investigation.
"But I will tell you that every office is independently owned and operated," she said.
"And what is happening at the [Exit Realty] on the Rock office has nothing to do with our other franchise operations in Newfoundland or anywhere else in Canada or the United States."
Real estate agents with Exit Realty on the Rock are free to take jobs with other brokers.
Exit Realty Oceans Edge said on its Facebook page that many agents are signing on there.
"Please be advised, that while there has been a new development circulating regarding Exit Realty on the Rock, our team at Oceans Edge would like you all to know that we are in no way affiliated with this investigation," it wrote in a Facebook post.
