RCMP investigating near-crash between plane and drone near Goose Bay airport
There was a near-miss in the skies above Labrador this week.
An aircraft heading in for a landing at the Goose Bay airport nearly collided with a drone
Police say a drone nearly collided with a plane landing at the Goose Bay airport Tuesday.
The incident occurred around noon in the area of Welbourne Bay, which is north of the airport, according to a RCMP news release issued Friday.
The airport is located in the Goose Bay Canadian Forces base and is used by both civilian and military aircraft.
RCMP said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
