Dog bite in central St. John's sends boy to Janeway

Police said they got the call around 7:45 p.m. on Monday that a boy had been bitten by the dog

A 13-year-old boy was taken to the Janeway hospital Monday night after being bitten by a dog in the central part of St. John's.

Police said they got the call around 7:45 p.m.

According to the RNC, the boy's injuries are not life-threatening.

The dog will be kept in isolation as a precaution, and the RNC say the owner is co-operating with them.

There's no word on the breed of dog involved.
