Crew member medevaced from vessel off Newfoundland coast

A crew member on a vessel off the coast of St. John's was airlifted to hospital in St. John's Tuesday afternoon.

A crew member on a vessel off the coast of St. John's was airlifted to hospital in St. John's Tuesday afternoon.

A Cormorant helicopter from 103 Search and Rescue Squadron in Gander landed on board the Spanish fishing vessel around 2 p.m. about 250 nautical miles east of St. John's.

The crew member was flown to the Health Sciences Centre.

The man's injuries are not life-threatening.
