A reality-TV personality from Ontario has entered the race in the hotly-contested riding of St. John's South-Mount Pearl.
The Conservative Party of Canada confirmed Monday that Marek Krol will be their candidate in the upcoming Oct. 19 federal election.
Krol starred on a cable television show Living Wild TV, which featured his family.
According to the show's website, the Krol family is filmed hunting, fishing and enjoying other outdoor activities. Krol is described as the "go-getter" of the pack.
The riding of St. John's South-Mount Pearl is considered one of the Newfoundland and Labrador ridings to watch, as NDP-incumbent Ryan Cleary takes on star Liberal candidate Seamus O'Regan.
