About 320 workers were out of work when Teck Resources closed the mine in Millertown on June 30.
The provincial government said it has staff at its office in Grand Falls-Windsor to help any of the affected workers who are looking for retraining or new job opportunities.
In addition to the counselling services, the government and the company have formed a committee to provide oversight on the mine closure and to work with the affected communities.
