With more and more measures being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to the province, CBC Newfoundland and Labrador is compiling a list of closures.
Ongoing
- All recreational facilities in St. John's to close, including the Railway Coastal Museum, the Welcome Centre and the Pippy Park Winter Activity Centre, although trails will remain open. After school programming will continue as long as schools remain open.
- Public meetings in St. John's are cancelled and city council meetings will be closed to the public. Livestreams will continue.
- All recreational facilities in Mount Pearl are closed, including the Summit Centre, Glacier Arena, Admiralty House and the Reid and Gloria Pearson community centres. City-hosted events for the month of March are also cancelled.
- All recreational facilities in Paradise are closed. The after school program will remain open. All town recreational programming and events are also cancelled.
- All recreational programming and facilities in Conception Bay South are closed. This includes Worsley Park, Parsons Rotary Club House, the Topsail Soccer Hut, the Recreation Complex, CBS Arena and the Robert French Memorial Stadium.
- All programs and events at town facilities in Happy Valley-Goose Bay have been suspended.
- All programs and events at town facilities in Grand Falls-Windsor have been suspended. Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium and Windsor Stadium will remain open for rentals.
- Eastern, Central, Western and Labrador-Grenfell Health will be restricting visitor hours at all its facilities to limit the spread of all respiratory illness. Patients will be allowed ONE designated visitor between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Visitors are asked to call ahead.
- All events sanctioned by Hockey NL, including minor, junior and senior hockey are suspended until further notice.
- The Works will remain closed until further notice. This includes the Aquarena, Field House, and all other Works facilities.
- All Newfoundland Growlers games are postponed.
- All St. John's Edge games are postponed.
- Mile One Centre has suspended public programming and will remain closed until further notice.
- Any events at Memorial University with more than 25 participants, excluding classes and labs.
- Any multi-school events under the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District, plus community use of schools and all international trips.
- All extracurricular activities at St. Bonaventure's College in St. John's and at schools within the French-language district.
- Church services at 5 Wing Goose Bay.
- Marble Mountain is closed.
- Newfoundland and Labrador Rugby Union has suspended all training and games.
March 15
- St. John's Choir has cancelled its afternoon tea.
- First United Church, Mount Pearl will be ceasing all activities including all worship, events and group activities until further notice.
- Gower Street United Church is stopping all gatherings and events for at least the next two weeks. A service on Sunday will be live-streamed.
- St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in St. John's has cancelled its service.
March 16
- Qalipu First Nation has cancelled its post-secondary funding event at Memorial University and the Sheraton Hotel in St. John's.
March 17

The Town of Paradise's council meeting will go ahead, but the meeting will closed to the public.
March 18
- Qalipu First Nation has cancelled its post-secondary funding event at St. John's College of the North Atlantic.
- The Royal Astronomical Society has postponed its public lecture.
- The Murphy Centre's Career Expo has been cancelled.
- The Storytelling Festival that would have launched March 18 has been cancelled. Events may be rescheduled in April, if risks have subsided.
March 19
- Nunatsiavut Department of Health and Social Development's "Timiga Ikumajuq, My Body the Light Within" workshop is cancelled.
- Qalipu First Nation has cancelled its event at Bishop's Falls Lions Club.
- Business and Arts N.L.'s piano launch at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville has been postponed.
March 20
- St. John's Women's Film Festival's Scene & Heard series is cancelled with an update in the future. The event was scheduled through to March 27.
March 21
- Corner Brook Rotary Music Festival from March 21-31 has been cancelled.
March 22
- The Kiwanis Music Festival in Grand Falls-Windsor, scheduled to take place March 22-27, has been cancelled. The Gordon Pinsent Centre for the Arts is asking anyone who has tickets for any events that have been suspended, to hold on to their tickets in case postponed events are rescheduled.
- The Kiwanis Club of Carbonear has cancelled its Regional Music Festival from March 22-28. This includes all of its celebration events scheduled for the 50th anniversary of the festival.
March 24
- Qalipu First Nation has cancelled its event at Meadows Town Hall.
- Carbonear Kiwanis Festival to cancel all band and choral competitions scheduled for March 24-25 at Carbonear Collegiate.
March 25
- Qalipu First Nation has cancelled its event at Lark Harbour Town Hall.
March 27
- Municipalities NL's central regional meeting in Gander is cancelled. The event was scheduled to run until March 28.
- Holy Heart of Mary's production of Peter Pan is postponed to May 29-30.
- The N.L. Craft Beer Festival, scheduled to take place from March 27-28, has been postponed.
March 28
- The spring book sale fundraiser for St. John's public libraries at A.C. Hunter Library has been postponed.
- Elvis Stojko performance at EJ Broomfield Arena for March 28 and 29 has been cancelled.
- The Canadian Home Builders' Association Home Show scheduled for March 28 and 29 has been postponed.
- The Spring Scrabble event at The Lantern, organized by the Terra Nova Grannies, has been cancelled.
