A Boeing 777 airliner had to make an emergency landing at St. John's International Airport Thursday afternoon.
The British Airways jet was heading from London, England to Tampa, Florida, when it rerouted to Newfoundland to make an unscheduled landing due to a medical emergency on board.
The jet landed just after 2 p.m., but there is no word on the condition of the traveller who was treated.
An airport official told CBC News the plane was set to depart for Florida before 4 p.m. Thursday.
