CBC's coverage of Beaumont-Hamel 100th anniversary
Friday, July 1 marks the 100th anniversary of the battle of Beaumont-Hamel that saw hundreds of men in the Newfoundland Regiment killed in the First World War.
CBC News hosted special coverage of the anniversary at various locations in St. John's through Friday.

From 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. NT, CBC Newfoundland and Labrador carried the live coverage special online.
CBC Television will air the live special in the province from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. NT, and will air it simultaneously on CBC Radio One.
The coverage showed viewers what's happening live at various venues, including the War Memorial in St. John's, in France for special live coverage of commemoration ceremonies, and to The Rooms for a live special.
