A bail hearing started Tuesday for one of two men arrested in downtown St. John's last Friday in connection with an investigation into biker gangs.

Bradley John Summers, 32, will find out Thursday if a judge will give him bail.

A hearing will begin the same day for Allan Winfield Potter, 50.

Summers and Potter face 10 charges in all between them, for assault and for uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The two lived in a house on Hamilton Avenue where a vehicle was firebombed in late May.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a drive-by shooting later that day on Dauntless Street in the Kenmount Terrace subdivision was related.

Police have said the charges are connected to an investigation into biker gang activity in the George Street area.
