CBC's St. John's Morning Show paid a visit to the Hungry Heart Cafe at Rawlins Cross in St. John's on Friday morning, where host Anthony Germain spoke with a client of Stella's Circle named George.
George grew up in St. John's, but led a tough life. He struggled with crime and drug addiction before the programs at Stella's Circle helped him turn his life around.
He said the programs have given him back his self respect.
George's story struck a chord with Germain.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, and it's one of the best interviews that I've done in a long time, thanks to you, not to me," Germain said after the emotional discussion.
