The New Brunswick economy added 1,200 jobs in June, but saw the unemployment rate hit 10.3 per cent, according to Statistics Canada.
The monthly labour force report indicated that 700 full-time jobs and 400 part-time jobs were added in June.

The province's unemployment rate stood at 9.9 per cent in May after the province lost about 900 jobs.
June saw the number of people in the province's labour force grow by 2,800 and the overall participation rate in the economy increase to 62.5 per cent in June from 62 per cent in May.
The province's unemployment rate has been hanging around the 10 per cent level for several months.
The jobless rate continues to be the highest in northern New Brunswick.
