The Saint John Police are remaining tight-lipped about the investigation into a death three weeks ago at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Serena Perry, a 22-year-old patient in the psychiatric unit, died under what is being described as suspicious circumstances.

The police have not given any more details about the investigation since characterizing it as a suspicious death.

An autopsy was conducted and results are normally turned around within 10 to 14 days, a deadline that has long passed with no public acknowledgement.

The Saint John Police refused to discuss the investigation on Wednesday.

What is known about the case has largely been confirmed by sources other than the police.

For instance, Perry was a patient staying in the psychiatric unit and she left the unit on the evening of Feb. 14 with one, possibly two other patients. Those patients are believed to be males.

Her body was later found in a different area of the hospital.

But three weeks have passed since her death and there is no word of an arrest or even if the police have any suspects.
