Parts of New Brunswick will see up to 25 cm of snow on Tuesday as another storm moves in Tuesday morning, says CBC meteorologist Peter Coade.

"The maker of this next snow event is the same storm that over the weekend produced killer, record tornadoes in Texas, the state where it developed," said Coade.

"Today it is dropping some 20 to 40 centimetres of snow on Montreal and a snow to rain mix on Toronto."

Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for Grand Manan and coastal Charlotte County, Saint John and County and northern Charlotte County.

"Snow associated with this system will begin Tuesday morning over western portions of the province then spread eastward through the day," says the warning.

Snowfall accumulations of between 15 to 20 cm are expected for the southernmost portions of the province with up to 10 centimetres elsewhere.

Winter storm watches are in effect for the central parts of New Brunswick, including Fredericton, Grand Lake and Sussex.

"Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow," says Environment Canada.

Coade says skies are expected to clear during the day on Wednesday with some rain expected on Thursday.

The storm has already forced some flights in Moncton, Fredericton and Saint John to be cancelled.

As well, Maritime Bus has issued a travel advisory and has warned its passengers to prepare for delays and possible cancellations.
