New Brunswick's Matt Stairs will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame today.

Stairs, a Saint John native who lives in Fredericton, holds the record for most pinch-hit home runs in major league history, with 23.

He also played for more major league teams than any other position player — 12 during his 19-year career, including both the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays.

The induction ceremony will take place this afternoon at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in Saint Marys, Ont.
