17-year-old driver dies in Albert County crash

A 17-year-old from Petitcodiac, N.B. is dead after the car he was driving left the road and struck a power pole early Saturday morning  in Turtle Creek.

A 17-year-old from Petitcodiac, N.B., is dead after the car he was driving left the road and struck a power pole early Saturday.

According to an RCMP news release, emergency services responded to a report of a crash on Nixon Road in Turtle Creek at around 1 a.m.

The release said the teen was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and died at the scene.

A 20-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.
