A 50-year-old man's death is being investigated as a homicide after his body was found near Minto, according to the New Brunswick RCMP.
Police were called to a rural property in Hardwood Ridge, a community about 10 kilometres north of Minto, at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
They discovered the body of a man later identified as Ronald Richard, a news release said.
No arrests were made but the police said they believe the death was not random.
An autopsy is scheduled.
Const. Isabelle Beaulieu with RCMP media relations said the major crime unit was called to the incident.
She could not say whether police knew of Richard's death before arriving at the rural property.
Nor could she comment on the cause of his death, she said.
