CBC reporter Robert Jones says diesel prices are expected to fall on Thursday when the Energy and Utilities Board resets the maximum regulated price.
The maximum regulated price of diesel will likely fall by one cent a litre to 131.7 cents per litre. Meanwhile, Jones said the maximum price of gasoline will likely be unchanged.
Drivers are paying a maximum of 117.8 cents a litre for gasoline.
The EUB sets maximum prices every Thursday based on the average prices of commodity trading on the international markets during the previous week.
Retail stations are allowed to sell gas for less than the maximum prices.
