We are ecstatic!- Mike Davis

A release was sent out trumpeting seasons' passes on sale for the coming season.

The hill was bought by a group of local investors.

Partner and board chair Mike Davis, owner of Fredericton's Radical Edge adventure store, said the new team is excited and eager to get started.

"We are ecstatic to finally be able to tell everyone that we are firing up the lifts this winter  … to steer Crabbe's future into a new era of growth."

New general operations manager, Jordan Cheney, is described as a significant player in the hill's future."

The outpouring of support from the community has been extremely overwhelming," said Cheney.

The facility, in Central Hainesville, northwest of Fredericton, was put up for sale at the close of last season by the Wilson family of Colchester County, N.S., which also owns Ski Wentworth.

No financial details on the sale have been disclosed .
