A court case dealing with the death of two-year-old girl in the Upper St. John River Valley has been adjourned until next month.

Juli-Anna St. Peter died in Woodstock hospital in April, 2004. Following a 15-month investigation, police charged the child's mother Anna-Marie Mooers and her former common-law partner Curtis Brent Hatheway with criminal negligence causing death.

Mooers and Hatheway did not enter pleas when they appeared in court this morning. Mooers had just secured a lawyer, who asked for time to review the evidence.

Mooers and Hatheway are accused of failing to provide medical care in an emergency.

The case has been rescheduled to September 6.
