Corner Brook 6/49 winner comes forward to collect $5M

The owner of a hotel in western Newfoundland was in Moncton on Friday to pick up his $5 million lottery prize.

Martin House says he plans to share his winnings with his children.

House won the Lotto 6-4-9 draw held February 21.

He is a regular player and says his friend phoned and told him to check his numbers because there was a winning 6/49 ticket in his hometown of Corner Brook.

House says he had two more people check the numbers before he believed he'd won.

The owner of the Corner Brook Hotel says he plans to sell the business and travel to Australia and Hawaii.
