Colombia, England fans celebrate wins in Moncton at FIFA Women's World Cup
Colombian women achieve their first-ever win at the Women's World Cup
Fans from England and Colombia celebrated in Moncton today after their teams both won in a double header match Saturday afternoon.
Colombia beat France 2-0, landing the Colombian women their first World Cup win ever. England triumphed over Mexico 2-1, with two goals in the second half.
Fans said operations at the event seemed to be running more smoothly Saturday than earlier in the week. On Tuesday the free shuttle service was overwhelmed, leading to long line-ups which kept fans out of the stadium during the beginning of Tuesday's game.
Six more buses were added to the original five, and fans were asked to arrive up to three hours before the game.
Another change in the policy over bottled water got mixed reviews from fans. Those attending Saturday's game were told they had to drink their water at the gate, or dump out their bottles.
The stadium of 13,100 seats was sold out for the game.
