Brunswick News lays off 13 people in another round of cuts

The layoffs were announced internally on May 27 and involve people who worked on publicity and advertising for the company.

In March, the company laid off its photographers at 2 of its newspapers

There are 13 more layoffs at newspaper company Brunswick News.

The Irving-owned publishing company owns the daily newspapers the Saint John Telegraph-Journal, the Moncton Times and Transcript and the Daily Gleaner, as well as 16 weekly papers in New Brunswick.

The layoffs were announced internally on May 27 and involve people who worked on publicity and advertising for the company.

The company said it is restructuring its service.

In March, Brunswick News laid off all of its photographers at the Moncton Times and Transcript and the Saint John Telegraph-Journal.
