New Brunswick taking more time in child neglect case

A New Brunswick Committee says it needs more time to investigate the case of a two year old who died of neglect. The girl died of dehydration in December of 1996.

Authorities were aware of problems in the home and had taken the youngster away on one occasion.

The New Brunswick government appointed a Child Death Review Committee after the conviction of Jacqueline Brewer's parents for criminal neglect causing death.

The Committee says it wants to be sure it has examined all the available evidence thoroughly.
