Yolande James weighs in on PQ leadership candidates' debate

Sovereignty was one of the hot topics as candidates vying to lead the Parti Québécois faced off in a debate at Université de Montréal.

Martine Ouellet is pushing hard for sovereignty, calling for a referendum in a first mandate.

Jean-François Lisée says he would wait until after the first mandate.

Alexandre Cloutier says he would take six months to come up with a plan.

The only candidate who's not already an MNA, Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, says he would leave that question up to voters.

On CBC Montreal News with Debra Arbec, political analyst Yolande James talked about what stood out for her.
