Investigators searching for evidence of an alleged licensing scheme
Quebec's anti-corruption unit has raided a painting business in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.
UPAC investigators are searching for evidence of an alleged licensing scheme involving Décoration Pinceau, which provides interior and exterior painting services.
The business is located on Port Royal Street East in the north Montreal borough.
UPAC spokeswoman Anne-Frédérick Laurence said the alleged scheme involved hiring companies to do work, even if they did not have licences, which are required by law.
A woman who answered the phone at the business said she had no comment on the ongoing raid.
