Turcot Interchange ramps have reopened after a man involved in a crash left his car and then fell onto the ramp below.

At one point on Tuesday afternoon, all the interchange ramps were closed to traffic, causing major congestion in the area.

Quebec provincial police spokeswoman Audrey-Anne Bilodeau said a vehicle crashed into the back of a transport truck on the westbound Villemarie at around 3:20 p.m.

Bilodeau said the driver climbed out the window of his vehicle and fell onto the eastbound Highway 720 below.

She said the man died from his injuries.
