The streets surrounding the Montreal Forum on the night of Sept. 7, 1964 were teeming with young teens.

They lined the sidewalks around the arena at the corner of Ste-Catherine Street West and Atwater Avenue, clutching magazines, sipping hot tea and singing their favourite Beatles songs while waiting overnight to catch a good glimpse of Paul, John, Ringo and George.

The popular British group played two shows at the Montreal Forum the following day, solidifying their hold on the city's teens and airwaves.
