Take a tour of the Turcot Interchange worksite

Quebec's Ministry of Transport gave a tour of the site where crews are working nonstop on what will become the new Turcot Interchange.

Sébastien Marcoux, a representative of KPH-Turcot, said everything that currently stands will be demolished.

The crew is demolishing and reusing concrete from the old Turcot interchange.

The concrete will be reused as part of the new Turcot.

It will be dismantled and crushed before being mixed with other materials and put in the foundation of the highway.

Eventually newly built lanes will take over for older ones once they are demolished.

One of the challenges for the crews is the fact that 300,000 cars per day are still using the Turcot.
