Rush-hour Décarie collision causes fire, traffic woes

A car and a truck caught fire on the Décarie Expressway Tuesday afternoon, snarling traffic in both directions.

The fire caused a major traffic headache for Montreal commuters on Tuesday afternoon. (CBC)

The fire broke out when the car rear-ended the truck, Quebec provincial police said. 

The northbound and southbound lanes of the expressway were closed between Queen Mary and Côte St-Luc roads.  

Both directions have now been re-opened. 

No one was injured in the accident.
