The money is slated for maintenance and renovations at CEGEPs and universities across the province.
Earlier this year, the Quebec Ministry of Higher Education submitted a proposal to the federal government amounting to $1.2 billion, according to a document from the federation of CEGEPS. The pitch included 134 separate projects.
The deal comes after the federal government promised to set up a $2-billion fund for post-secondary institutions last spring.
