The Sûreté du Québec will be out in full force on Quebec roads and highways this long weekend.

Police are looking to crack down on drivers who are speeding, texting and under the influence.

Spokesperson Christine Coulombe says she expects a lot of traffic on the province's roads.

"We want drivers to be very careful on the road because a lot of people travel during the long weekend, and the weather is great," Coulombe said.

Nine people died over the Victoria Day long weekend on Quebec roads last year, according to Coulombe.
