Unionized home daycare workers want to put pressure on the Liberal government to continue negotiations
The parents of 90,000 children in home daycares across Quebec will have to make other plans for childcare on July 7.
The union representing the majority of the workers in home-run daycares have voted to hold a strike day.
They say the Liberal government hasn't been open to their demands as negotiations continue to renew their collective agreement.
Earlier this week, privately run subsidized daycares across the province announced they will hold five strike days this summer.
Their goal is to step up pressure on the government following the tabling of the provincial budget.
