My Pocketbook

  • Health tax reduction ranging from $25 to $50, depending on salary.
  • Renovation tax credits for eligible eco-friendly updates, up to $10,000.

My Kids

  • 50 per cent reduction in annual contribution for second child in subsidized daycare (retroactively applies to 2015).
  • $300 million over three years for initiatives to encourage students to stay in school.   
  • $70 million annually to add 70 full-time pre-kindergarden classes for four-year-olds.
  • $159 million over three years for the additional of specialized staff to assist students with learning disabilities.
  • $700 million over three years to renovate and upgrade schools.

My Job

  • $162 million over five years for Quebec's new digital strategy to encourage e-commerce.
  • Fast-tracking of changes to make it easier to transfer a family business to the next generation.
  • Increased investment in Quebec's aerospace industry.
  • Reducing the eligible age to 62 years for tax credits for experienced workers by 2018.
  • $500 increase in annual eligible maximum for workers covered under the tax shield.
  • $243.32 increase in adapted work premium maximums for households without children.
  • $65 million in additional investment in three technology seed funds aimed at encouraging start-ups.
  • Reduction in the Health Services Fund contribution rate for businesses with a payroll of less than $1 million.
  • Changes to simplify the tax credit system for Quebec film and television production, which will translate into an additional $3.8 million in financial assistance over five years.

  • $4.9 million for new initiatives to combat sexual violence and support gender equality.
  • $128 million for the construction of 1,500 new affordable housing units.
  • $5 million over five years for organizations that assist the urban Aboriginal population.
  • Small tax credit increases for individuals who gift works of art and property to charity.
  • $9 million for new crime prevention measures including after-school programs.
  • $2 billion for improvements to Quebec's road network in 2016-2017.
