Police search home of former NHL enforcer

The home of former NHL player Georges Laraque was searched by police this morning in connection with a lawsuit involving his synthetic ice company.

Police searched the home of former NHL player Georges Laraque this morning in connection with a lawsuit involving his synthetic ice company.  

Laraque told CBC Montreal that police searched his home on Montreal's South Shore looking for a "company book."  

The one-time Montreal Canadien is involved in a fraud lawsuit against a former business partner in his company, Superglide. 

Laraque said he didn't have the book in question and said investigators will have to meet with his lawyer.  

He didn't disclose any further details, other than to say his former business partner is countersuing him.    

Longueuil Police confirmed they searched a home in Brossard this morning, but police would not reveal the identity of the home owner.
