Montreal's transit authority says it has secured outside access points to the Metro system in the wake of a video posted to YouTube a few weeks ago showing two men in filming a video in restricted areas.

"The site was quickly secured following the identification of the place of entry of the intrusion," according to a statement released by the STM. "The subway system remains one of the safest in the world and is equipped with more than 2,000 surveillance cameras and other security devices."
Three men, aged 22, 28 and 53 years old, were arrested in connection with the incident.
They were released from police custody with the promise to appear in court. Police say they could face charges of breaking and entering, public mischief and possession of burglary tools.
In the video, titled the "Lowest Point in Montreal," two people are seen to be climbing down a manhole on a Montreal street.
They then enter the Metro tunnels, where they walk down Metro tracks, wave firecrackers and access areas that appear to contain fuses and outlets.
Carole Lalonde, the head of the Montreal police Metro unit, says police were able to identify the suspects based on tips from the public and surveillance in the metro system.
She said both police and the transit authority are taking the incident very seriously.
"What I want to put the emphasis [on] is the dangerous side for the people themselves, and also for public safety, to go in the subway like that in the tunnels and everything," she said.
She said the STM quickly addressed the issues that led to the breach and said Montrealers can be assured that the Metro system is safe.
