It might be a green holiday season but that doesn't mean it's a dry one.

Opération Nez Rouge is predicting a huge spike in rides this weekend across Quebec.

The volunteer service will drive partygoers and their cars home if they have had too much to drink.

The organization gave out 7,800 rides Friday night alone in Quebec.

Spokesperson David Latouche estimates that about 13,000 Quebecers will call for a ride home this weekend.

Nez Rouge was launched in 1984 in Quebec City. It now operates in 63 communities province-wide to help people get home safely during the holidays.

To request a ride, individuals can call or text the service. Nez Rouge also has a mobile app which allows users to see the wait time in each community.
