Snowstorm forces Opération Nez Rouge to suspend rides Tuesday

Bad weather has caused Opération Nez Rouge to suspend rides in Montreal and other parts of Quebec this evening.

More than 50,000 people have used the service since Christmas Eve

Opération Nez Rouge has suspended its service in Montreal until 7 p.m. Wednesday because of bad road conditions.

"With the weather conditions outside, for the safety of our volunteers and clients we decided to suspend our operations in some areas of Quebec," said David Latouche, a spokesman with Opération Nez Rouge.

Along with Montreal, the service will not be operating tonight in Laval, Longueuil, Joliette, Quebec City, Haut-Richelieu  and Vallée-du-Richelieu.

Latouche said people should check @ONezrouge on Twitter for the latest on where they're operating.

Since Dec. 24, more than 50,000 have used Opération Nez Rouge, according to the organization.
