It's the first day of school for kids at Sainte-Anne Academy, a brand new private elementary school that's opened at the site of the old Queen of Angels school in Dorval.

While many of Montreal's English-language schools struggle with enrolment, the school has managed to fill to near capacity with more than 480 registered.

Classes at many Quebec schools resume this week, though most schools in the English Montreal School Board open next Monday, Aug. 31.
