MUHC Glen site officially opens, hosts party for Montrealers

After years of construction, today marks the official opening of the new superhospital in Montreal's NDG neighbourhood.

The hospital threw a giant party to celebrate the occasion.

The event kicked off with the Walk for Montreal, during which Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre led thousands of Montrealers from Dawson College to the Glen site of the MUHC.

Dignitaries from all levels of government participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

There was also performances from Stéphanie Lapointe and Sam Roberts Band.
