Montreal police are seeking the public's help finding a "dangerous" suspect who they believe is in town for Grand Prix weekend.

Muhidiin Ahmed Farah, 31, is an alleged pimp and a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred in May in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

Police say Farah and his accomplice, Daniel Khet, brutally attacked a victim in a hotel using a firearm. They escaped on foot, but video surveillance allowed investigators to identify them.

While Khet was arrested and charged, Farah remains at large. There is a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.

Police say he regularly travels by train to Saskatoon and Montreal. They believe he may be in town for Grand Prix festivities.

Farah is black and has brown eyes. He is six feet tall and weighs 187 pounds.

Police are urging caution because Farah is considered to be dangerous and may be armed. They believe Farah may also have ties to street gangs.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
