Montreal police look for more victims in AIDS assault case
Police allege man targeted vulnerable women at community centres
Montreal police are looking for more possible victims in connection with a sexual assault case involving a suspect who has AIDS.
Serge Levac, 47, is already in custody facing several charges of aggravated assault involving an attack on a Montreal woman.

Police allege Levac met the woman while volunteering for a community organization. The woman has a mental illness.
Montreal police spokesperson Const. Ian Lafrenière said investigators believe the man volunteered at various community centres in order to approach elderly and mentally ill women.
"Because he was doing that while helping vulnerable people, we believe, unfortunately, that there may be other victims, but they may be too shy to come forward," said Lafrenière.
He said police took the rare step of calling for the public's help in case after learning that the suspect in the case has AIDS.
"That's why we've come forward, we want people to be aware [about] possible victims," he said.
Levac is Caucasian with brown eyes and brown hair. He weighs 73 kilograms (160 pounds) and stands 1.75 metres (five feet nine inches) tall. He often wears glasses.
