Not sure where to trick-or-treat? This handy Montreal map shows the best spots
Find out where you can hit the most homes with the least amount of walking. No guarantee that there will be candy in all of them though.
This is a map designed with density and efficiency in mind — candy levels can't be guaranteed
It's going to be a chilly night and even experienced trick-or-treaters won't be able to last forever making the neighbourhood rounds and collecting candy.
CBC Montreal crunched the numbers, and we've come up with a trick-or treating map designed with efficiency in mind.
Here you can plan a route that will help you hit the most homes with the least amount of walking. No guarantee that there will be candy in all of them though.
The map was created by counting the number of low-density residential buildings (up to five units and four stories) within a 750-metre area.
If you're looking to narrow your search, consider some of these suggestions.
Best boroughs for trick or treating:
- Plateau-Mont-Royal.
- Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
- Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension.
- Parts of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
- Sud-Ouest.
- Dollard-Des Ormeaux.
Specifically, these areas:
- Plateau: North and west of Parc La Fontaine, between St-Dominique Street and Papineau Avenue.
- Villeray: From de Liège to de Castelnau streets.
- Old Rosemont along Masson and Dandurand streets and between 1st Avenue and St-Michel Street.
