Home runs, heroes and heartbreak: How much do you know about Montreal's baseball history?

With no pro team in the city, Montreal MLB fans have few options. You can follow other teams, go on a road trip to watch a Can-Am League game — or reminisce. This quiz can help with that last option.

For decades, Montreal was a pro baseball city.

First, the Montreal Royals took to the field at Delorimier Stadium.

Then, in 1969, the Montreal Expos became the first Major League Baseball franchise outside the United States.

This week coincides with a few firsts for the now-defunct Expos: their first ever home opener, attended by a number of fans and political types alike, and their first game in a brand new stadium.

September will mark 13 years since Nos Amours played their last game in Montreal.

The MLB commissioner has said Montreal is a prime candidate for expansion, but that may be a ways away.

For now, Montreal baseball fans have few options.

Among them: follow other MLB teams, take a road trip to Quebec City or Ottawa to watch Can-Am League baseball — or reminisce.

This quiz can help with the last option.
